WHO IS GOD?
What if science and faith weren’t opposing forces, but partners in the quest for ultimate truth? Who Is God? Seeking True Religion offers a bold and thought-provoking exploration of this idea, beginning with one of humanity’s most enduring questions: Does science point toward the existence of God? Drawing from cosmology, physics, biology, and the universe’s remarkable fine-tuning, the book presents a persuasive argument for an intelligent Creator. From the Big Bang to the intricacies of DNA, the evidence suggests a universe shaped by design rather than chance—challenging the core assumptions of atheism and materialism.

This is the second book of Mr. Baskin's that I have read and I find his style and thoughts to be most interesting. He's tackled a broad topic here, as noted by the title of this book "Who is God". I find his ideas on subjects such as "Logic" vs "Faith" and "Science" vs "Religion" to be thought provoking, while he also addresses his thoughts on the evidence of a single "Designer"/"Builder" of the universe. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is searching for answers as to which is the "true religion" and the truth that "true science" and "true religion" will agree.
I found Michael Baskin's book, "Who is God?" to be well-researched, easily read, and very thought-provoking. The author offers logical interpretations of Scripture that unravel the mysteries of Creation and belief without attempting to debunk them or make excuses for their logic. I was particularly struck by Michael Baskin's analysis of certain "paradoxes" as narrated in Genesis Chapters one and two. I leave these clarifications to the reader, saying only that they are unique without sacrificing reverence for the source.
Every so often a book enters your life with perfect timing, as if God Himself ordained it to be. I found myself devouring Who Is God quickly. Baskin is relentless in his pursuit of unveiling what science knows to be true, and why people of faith should embrace modern discovery of the earthly realm. Well done, Mr. Baskin. I recommend your book to all, seekers and skeptics alike.
This book offers a compelling, well-researched case for Christianity as the one true faith—especially for anyone genuinely open to exploring the evidence. The author draws from science, history, and scripture in a way that challenges assumptions and invites deep reflection. I especially appreciated the list of messianic prophecies not yet fulfilled by Jesus—it was eye-opening and thought-provoking. While a few sections veered off course, the heart of the book stays focused on truth-seeking and delivers a powerful message. Highly recommend to seekers and believers alike.
As a skeptic, I was surprised by how much this book made me think. I picked this up out of curiosity, and I’m glad I did. The science is up-to-date, and well-cited. The part that challenged me most was the analysis of different religious texts in light of empirical evidence. It’s rare to find a book that’s both rigorous and respectful. I’ll be rereading this
I approached this book expecting a dry academic debate, but what I found was a truly human journey through the biggest questions of existence. The comparative religion section was especially eye-opening. Whether you agree with the final conclusion or not, the intellectual integrity is undeniable.
I’ve read plenty of books that try to reconcile science and religion, but this one actually does it clearly, respectfully, and with serious depth. The author unpacks the scientific evidence without dumbing it down. The comparisons of the religions were nuanced and grounded in evidence. This is a powerful book for skeptics, seekers, and believers alike.
